The default pathway for single GC runs is: C:\Chem32\1\DATA

Is there any way to specify a new directory?

Yes, that is one of the uses of the configuration editor (specify all directory paths for data, methods and sequences) for older revs or in new revisions, you can specify the default directories in the method or as part of the instrument defaults.
