7673 Injects then has an error

I have a 7673A attached to a 5890 Series II Plus.
The tower does all the rinse functions and draws up the sample. It then drops the needle down into the inlet and injects the sample (everything normal to this point) and then it beeps, sends an error to the computer and then lifts the needle up and stops. If I hit abort it will return the vial and run the inject sample and move on to the next (everything working fine) until it gacks on the next sample at the same spot.
Any ideas?
Is there an error code in the instrument log?
I'd clean all the stainless steel guide rods well with swabs and methanol. Do not use grease.

If the injector senses too much resistance, there can be errors.
