Considering the increasing choice of silica and hybrid phases that are now available, what does the future hold for 100A, high surface area (300+m2/g) silica?

About the same as the past. The pore size distribution is more or less independent of the other characteristics (purity of the silica; use of a "hybrid" substrate).
