i am trying to develop a method for analysis of moxifloxacin on HPLC-ECD (waters 2465 detector). Britton robinson buffer pH 6.0 shows rsponse in the detector at 900 mV. but it could not be able to elute the drug in a column (HIBAR C18). BR bufer : methnol in 50;50 ratio, 1.2 ml/min. flow rate is able to elute the drug at 15 min. RT with UV detector, but this combination didnot give any response with ECD.
anybody please advice me how to proceed
here are few applications for similar compounds:

HELIX Chromatography
My opinions might be bias, but I have about 1000 examples to support them. Check our website for new science and applications

the main problem is detection in ECD. except britton robinson buffer pH 6.0, moxifloxacin is not getting detected in any other medium.

could you please tell me how to proceed using BR buffer in this case..

thanking you

Maybe a stupid question: If you get a UV peak, why do you want to use ECD?
