PDA data has vanished after run processed!

Hi there,

Im running a related substances run using a Method Set which contains my instrument method and 2 derived channels for the 2 wavelengths I'm working on. However, I ticked the "Save Extracted Channels" box in my Method Set and saved it in error just before activating my run a few days ago.. This didn't seem to be a problem when I viewed my run as channels, as all the PDA spectrum of the peaks were there. My Instrument Method has the PDA scan activated as normal.

However, when I processed my run and tried to overlay the results for peak disregard etc, I have no PDA data for the peaks! I tried playing around with the view settings, I tried updating my MS to remove that "Save Extracted Channels" setting, reprocessed the run but it still looks the same, no PDA data or spectrums. Its like the spectrums just don't exist in the Review screen.

I looked up that function and apparently. when enabled, it deletes 3D data when processed so even though I technically still have PDA data for the peaks when viewed as channels (this data wont change until I run another batch of samples and adjust processing parameters), I don't have it in overlay view..

Does anyone know if there is any way to see my reviewed data with the PDA or is that option now impossible because I ran the samples with the Save Extracted Channels activated??
Hi
I don't understand all of your details, but have you checked that your processing method is of the "PDA" type (not "LC"). If you open your processing method in the Review Window, look in the lower right corner.

If it is "LC" type, you need to re-enter all the processing setting in a new processing method with of the "PDA" type. No way to update just the type.
Thanks for the reply. The PDA is active for the processing methods within the method set as i can see all the spectra when i view the sample set as channels but after its processed and i overlay the results its gone!
Its never happened before, the only difference with this run is that i had the "save extracted channels" box ticked in error in the method set and when i looked up that function on Empower help it said something along the lines of 3D data being deleted when its activated but i didnt fully understand it thats why im hoping someone here can explain it.
