glycerol and phosphoric acid

I have a coworker that wants to analyze for glycerol on her kc811 and water/phosphoric acid mobile phase. Will glycerol make an ester with the phosphoric acid? My gut feeling is that she needs another column/mobile-phase combination for glycerol. Any thoughts out there?

I wouldn't worry about it. I doubt that you'd get much esterification in an aqueous environment.
