Hi I have a Agilent 5890.I'm analyzing acetone in the gas phase.please let me know what is the correct calibration method.

You are analyzing acetone for purity?

Do you seek likely impurities?

I would contact your solvent distributor and ask for their list of likely impurities.

The USP may have a purity test for acetone. The ASTM may also have a test listed.

best wishes,

Rod
