Is there any difference between waters PDA detector model 2996 and 2998?
The lab I am working have both of these detector and most of my colleagues prefers to use 2998 over 2996 but have no idea of difference between two.
2998 - ethernet, higher sampling rates available, higher sensitivity
2996 - IEEE, lower sampling rates available, slightly lower sensitivity

The 2998 is current, 2996 was current from (times approximate, may be way off) ~1998-2005. Both work with every iteration of Empower software (unlike the 996, which predates the 2996).
Thanks,
DR
