Hey Kostas -

Your J. Chrom. A. paper describing perfluorocarboxylic acids as volatile IP agents for analysis of underivatized amino acids has been a HUGE help in developing a method here.

I'm not working with amino acids, but a basic analyte in a complex matrix and it appears that heptafluorobutyric acid has done the trick. My ESLD is much more sensitive to the analyte and much less sensitive to the other components in the mix, which was just the opposite with my PDA. I have a meeting tomorrow in which I need to report progress on the project and your assistance has really helped.

Many thanks!

Hi Christopher,

Glad to hear and thank you for your feedback. :)

It is always great to hear back when a recommendation or previous work helps.
