Hi all, I am currently using chloroform and methanol (2:1 v/v) for extracting EFAs in red cells. I find that the chloroform is too potent and lyses the red cell membrane completely leaving me with a black supernatant after centrifugation, is this OK or should I look into using another method for extraction?
