LC-MS/MS equilibriate problem

Dear all
we have LC-MS/MS system (API 3200 QTrap) for our routine pesticide determination. We have error messages when we try to equilibriate the system before sample injection. a few minutes after we start for equilibriate, it just turned to stand by mode. and it stops everything. In Event log menu, there is a message that "Q3 Amplifier Over Temperature" It could not reach ready mode. We deactived the system and switched off main instrument, then we start again step by step. Switching the instrument, activating the system and equilibriate the system. Then everything is OK. When instrument is in standby mode, it never reaches ready mode again.
any idea will be appreciated

I do not have a direct solution to your problem, but instead of doing a re-equilibration you could allow a long post run time or a return to the initial conditions at the end of your gradient. Not the optimum solution but it can keep you running your method until you find out what is going on...

Try equlibrate, select the RIGHT method and set up the time for a few mintues, and then before the time is up, hit the "instrument ready" button (on the right side of standy button) to see what happens. If problem persists, call you serivce engineer.
