Filter for liquid contamination in gas samples

We are performing gas analysis for associated gas using GC. Most of the time we get wet gas samples with droplets of liquids, which will affect the results of the analysis. We are using 2micron filter but it seems not efficient.

I am looking forward sharing me your experience and recommendations.

There are at least two possibilities that I see here. 1) Vaporize the whole sample which would also mean the water. Works if you have a pre-column protecting your analytical column or a column not affected by water. Would most likely allow you to normalize as well depending on your configuration as all of the sample is injected in this scenario.

2) Look at installing a Genie filter in the sampling path. See geniefilters.com for more details. I have used this in the past but moved away from them towards #1 for most of my applications but they worked well for many sample streams.
