Hi
I use Saturn 2000 and wondered if anyone uses ETP (SGE) replacement multipliers. How do you get on with them?
Thanks in advance

We just installed an ETP multiplier in our Saturn 2000 mass spec... It tuned without any issues but I really can't comment just yet on sensitivity versus the old multiplier. The column I installed turned out to be high bleed and I'm getting ready to install another by the end of the week. I will let you know how the sensitivity looks. I'll do the 1pg/uL OFN injection and report back.

I must say, the ETP multiplier works great!! I recently performed a 1uL injection of 600 femtograms/uL dimethylmethyl phosphonate, a nerve agent surrogant, and saw decent detection by the Saturn 2000 in EI full scan mode. So evidently the multiplier is working well, considering it's a 10 year old system! I must say, we've always gotten significantly better limits of detection on our older Varian than our significantly newer Agilent GC-MS.
