we have a prep-HPLC in our lab,but the OD of the tubing to the UV detector is 1/16,the rest part is 1/8OD, however, our working flowrate is 220ml/min,mobile phase 30%water:70%methanol(V:V) for the big column,so the back pressure is high as 7-8MPa,somebody recommend me the suitable tubing OD for the inlet tubing to the UVdetector?

Hi

For flowrates greater 200 ml/min, I would use 1/8 tubing....

...but if you also use a small column you might have a flow dealy between detector and fraction collector at lower flow rates....
