I just changed my needle seal last Thursday and everything has been running wonderfully, just this afternoon I started getting a significant leak at the injection port, when the needle is running the rinse it starts to bubble up instead of going down like usual. All my samples seems to be coming out just fine, so all the sample is getting to the column. If anyone has any ideas could you please pass them my way.

I guess you are talking about two different things: Leak at the injection and a failure during the wash procedure. I guess it would help if you try to be more specific, for instance, what injector is it, what injection principle, how is the wash done...

did you "change" something with your waste line, or is it clogged?
Maybe the wash liquid is holdup in the waste line and now you get just overflow from the waste line?

hi EtOH,

it would help if we had the information to these questions?
what type of instrument do you use?
what type of washing solution?
what is the solution of your samples?
what are the settings in the method for the wash procedure.
any problem with area repeatability?

When I hear Needle Seal i think CTC.. Did you check the needle penetration after changing the needle seal.. This can be affected by needle seal exchanging. If it's a CTC.. :)
