High Resolution Gas Chromatography is a technique of analytical chemistry.
Essentially, it is the use of GC capillary columns which are capable of separating components of a volatile mixture requiring a large of theoretical plates.
Thus the high resolution, resolving analytes which are very simlar in structure or in their chromatographic character.
This is in comparison to low resolution gas chromatography which used less efficient and inert packed columns.
