Syringe Needletip-Style and Septum

Is there a problem using a cone tip needle for autosamplers with silicone or silicone/PTFE sample vial septa (in terms of penetration)?
Not that I have ever seen, but there is a potential for coring and needle blockage if the edges of the cone are too sharp.
