I repost old question
How many injection are you able to make with single Vocarb3000 (K) trap, with standard parameter?
I'm using Tekmar concentrator.

Good question. I do EPA 524 with vocarb 3000 and change it every 4-12 weeks. Tekmar claims to have a new 3000 type trap that is longer lasting but costs about $100 american!

first, thank you for reply.
Actually my problems is tekmar 3000 conc related. With this conc my trap is ok only for 1 months... sometimes for week! After this time, i've first part of chromatogram with severe tailing: I think is flow related.
When the trap has increased backpressure the desorb flow is not enough to assure thin band for analytes. The question is why the trap increase his backpressure so quickly??
With velocity XPT I have a vocarb 3000 trap with 25000 injection!! no problem until now.
Bigbear, why change the trap? What are your simptom?
Where can I search NEW 3000 trap? I have never seen this type of new 3000 trap from my tipical distributors... (supelco, Varian..)

I think the "new" 3000 trap is only available from Tekmar, and it may not be refered to as a 3000 trap.
