CAN WE SEPARATE HYDROGEN SULFIDE ON 13X MOLSIEVE?

Discussions about GC and other "gas phase" separation techniques.

We have an existing light hydrocarbon gas analysis using a 13X packed column. Can we also use this to analyise hydrogen sulfide?[/b]

Mole sieve is used to TRAP sulfur compounds.

I do not believe you will have success with MS13X, especially at trace (<1%) amounts.

Porous polymer and carbon based supports, as well as silica gel based supports (Chromosil 310 and 330), will give the best results.

You could also use a thick film Methyl Silicone capillary column.

best wishes,
