Loss of sensitivity on GC/MSD

I work at a GC/MSD (6890/5973).
The system was low sensitivity, as far as sometimes that didn't has response: the chromatogram didn't has peak and the autotune was horrible.
I cleaned the ion source and the system worked better: the autotune was goog, although the sensitivity wasn't the same of before (when the system was OK). But after to perform some injections the problem returned.
¿What can the problem be?

There are dozens of possibilities. You will have to tell us more details of what samples and standards you are analysing, and the settings on the GC and MS.
