Hello,

I am writing very first time to share and solve my problem. I am unable to understand whether problem is associated with windows as i am using windows 98 or is this instrumental issue because as GC gives error
FLOATING POINT :SQUARE ROOT OF NEGATIVE NUMBER and when septa is cleaned then it gives the result of same sample which gives error earlier but after cleaning of septa it gives correct result. Please let me know what is the remedy as i am responsible to solve the problems of GC.
I am eagerly waiting for your replies. I will be here for a long time (inshaAllah) as i have keen interest in GC and HPLC.

Regards,
Kashif Riaz

I am surprised to see NO REPLY at all. I was expecting more than one solutions. Please let me know the solution.

Excuse me but the details you gave are more than sketchy:

What is your data system, your GC, under which conditions does the error come up, at what stage does it come up exactly etc.

Please give the necessary details. I can't determine these details right now as my crystal ball is off to factory inspection and won't return any time soon :)
