The 2695 needle is definitely strong enough to pierce nonslit septa. We use them everyday. Is someone using no pre-slite vials for HPLC Alliance /MS ? Is the needle enough strong for this kind of vials ? thank you in advance.

The needle is designed to work with both slit and non-slit septa.
However, if you're working with larger injection volumes and multiple injections/vial, preslit septa do eliminate the "vacuum" effect sometimes seen when "solid" septa are used.
