We´re actually controling two GCs HP 5890 and one Agilent HPLC1100 with Chemstation software.
We are replacing the two GCs by one GC Thermo Trace Ultra. Could we stay with Chemstation or we need to buy Thermo Chromquest software?
Does Chromquest software control the HPLC 1100?

Either you buy an Agilent GC and continue to use ChemStation or you switch to an open software like EZChrom or Chromeleon to control both HP1100 and Trace GC. EZChrom is same as ChromQuest but controls many more instruments

Thanks for your advice. We´re already decided to buy Chromeleon, then we´re informed tha the automatic inyector Triplus ins not supported by Chromeleon yet. We want to use one one software for Agilent HPLC 1100 and Thermo GC+Triplus.

You could always buy the 35900 A/D and import data into the Chemstation software. Not the most elegant but it does avoid the learning curve of new software. Beware that the A/D will not control the Thermo instrument.

Best regards.

It is possible to run the Trace Ultra GC's and the triplus sampler under chemstation.. You will need some software from thermo called something like TraceGC for chemstation or something close to that.. don't recall exactly.

But other then that I believe that Chromquest shoudl be able to control the 1100 series..

I just wanted to let you know that support for the Thermo TriPlus sampler has been added to Chromeleon with the December Service Pack.
