Dear All,

We are storing the impurity solutions / resolution solutions (used for qualitative purpose like peak identification/ resolution etc.) and using them over a period of time.

I would like to know how you people are controlling their use.

How much time period you are using them and how you are defining that period of use?

Regards

Generally in the procedures that I have written around here is that the resolution solutions may be used and stored as long as suitability criteria are met. This means that resolution needs to pass, tailing needs to pass, and retention time window needs to be met.

Like you said, these are only being used for suitability and identification, if other degradation peaks appear from the resolution solution I have never considered it that big of a deal provided that the degradant peaks do not cause problems with the analysis.
