Ionic Liquids and gas chromatography

I am wanting to use an ionic liquid in a chemical solution. I know that recent publications have shown ionic liquids being used in either gas chromatography as the stationary phase in the column or in headspace gas chromatography where it is the solvent for highly volatile compounds. I am looking for a method where I can modify a GC(FID) to analyze a sample that contains a small amount of ionic liquid and compounds with b.p.'s between 220 and 245 degrees celsius.
