Well I have post a question on similar ground before…but still isocratic elution mechanism is a grey area…well as much as I understand the solutes/or samples are on continues movement in isocratic mode and the separation happens due to the difference in interactions with stationary phase (plz correct me if I am wrong).
Well following are the questions on my mind??
(a) If the compounds or solutes are in continuous movement…does the size of molecule affects seperation(i.e. does the principle of Size exclusion comes into picture)?
(b) In isocratic elution does solutes interact in same way with stationary phase as in gradient elution?
