When preparing an HPLC method (UV/Vis detector), one will usually determine the response factor through a calibration curve.
Can one use Beer's Law instead? A = Ecl and get El as the constant instead of RF?
Does this need to be done with every component, like in GC-FID or is it universal for the detector once determined?
Thanks!
Roxanne.
