Running a Perkin Elmer GCMS in CI+ mode with Methane. However during leak check/tune/analysis my "source emission" is fluctuating all over the place. It's set at 100 and fluctuates by around 50 either side of the set point. Filament current fluctuates with it in a similar pattern. I also notice that I have zero signal during analysis in TIC mode (100-400).

I ran some samples yesterday with no problems, and as soon as I turn on the instrument today this happens.

Any idea of a cause?

Never mind, I solved it by clicking the "reinitialise" button in the instrument software.

Must be a software glitch....
