Hello,

is somebody working with a DB-5ms column (30m, 0.25mm, 0.5um) and has a tip for a appropiate concentration for the samples? Im analysing aromatic compounds (cresol/xylenol/phenol) with toluene as solvent.

Thanks!
Oliver

100 mg per liter should be no problem.

Depends on your injection parameters - injection size and split ratio. Capacity for this dimension column is approx 200-250ng

I`m injecting 1 ul and using the spitless mode.

Oh my, then 100mg/liter is much too concentrated.

Less than 0.1mg per liter is a better working concentration.

best wishes,

Rod
