how measure sugars in solid residues with hplc

Hello I'm new here and not very confirmed with the forum and hplc.
but I have a question and I hope you can help me here.
I have got a phenomenex 00H-0138-Ko column and I want to measure the sugars like glucose and fructose.
but my real problem is my sample are solids from plant residues (grape marc and sugarcane bagasse) and I can't find a easy method to measure their sugars in the hplc. Can somebody tell me a method to extract the sugars that I can analyce them.
Is it also possible to meassure the crude protein with hplc and this column or is that not possible.
Thanks for your help and hopefully I will find help here
