Hi, can anyone tell me if the carbon load includes the amount of endcapping agent, or if it is just the ligand

It's obtained by a standard C,H,N analysis, so it's the total amount of carbon (main bonded phase + end-capping + anything else that may be stuck on there).
Of course, you are aware that carbon load, by itself (i.e., without knowing the specific surface area of the packing) does not provide a lot of useful information about surface coverage.
