Dear friends,
Am using an ESI ion source for my method and I found that I have problems with Na adduct ions with my parent compound. I have dissoled the compound in 100% methanol and subsequent dilutions in 60% methanol.
How to overcome this problem so that i will get the actual response of the parent compound......URGENT

Acid washing of your glassware and anything else that your sample comes in contact with should remove most of the Na contamination. We do this by soaking in 10% nitric acid and then thoroughly rinsing with ultra pure water. Also for your mobile phase use the highest grade water and solvents that you can obtain.
