Z-Spray vs Turbo V

Theroetcially, Tubo V 's orthogonal design is better than Z-Spary if there is no the heater? Cross-flow nebulization has been around for many years, but mostly used in ICP source. No doubt that a cross-flow neb is better than a pneumatic one (most used in ESI). If Z-spray also has heated nub gas, it may be better than Tubo V according to its design? curious.

Unfortunately all Vendors claim their design is the best !!!!, but, in an honest discussion an orthogonal design with one bend should theoretically be the best...counter-current drying gas should desolvate more effectively then gas being employed at a 45 degree (V Turbo-Source) and making two bends to get an ion into the MassSpec would lag behind(Z-Spray).....the simpler the better.....then you have the Off-Axis design employed by two other vendors, because they could NOT find a way around the Orthogonal patent....which by the way was introduced by Agilent, and soon copied, my 2cents...

yes, it's always a pain to clean the Z-spray source.
