"Olefin trap" and iodoalkanes, how well will it tr

Wondering if anyone has an idea of how well an olefin trap (silver impregnanted) will trap iodoalkanes (C1-C6) from an air sample collection. We are looking into some large volume air sampling (1000s m3) and I am looking into some prefractionation approaches prior to GC-MS analysis. Will likely collect initially on Carboxen type, then thermally desorb to secondary trap (olefin?), then to GC. Ideally we would like to inject the entire air sample collected.
Thanks

Do you think the silver will react with the halogenated compounds?
I would test it and see. If it is reactive then you will have low recoveries.
I would try Carboxen 1016 for your trap.
best wishes,

Rod,
Is there any water isotherm data available for Carboxen 1016 ?

I have no data that I can share with you. I can tell you that water is retained very little on Carboxen 1016 and should elute at the back side of the fixed gases (close to CO2).
I hope that is helpful.
best wishes,
