question about multiposition actuator

I just got a VICI multiposition electric actuator, 8-port. my question is, can this be used like a 2-position valve, as well as multistream?
*edit* also have a rheodyne 7010... perhaps I can use that as the inlet to the
VICI (?). run the pump through the rheodyne (and the sample injector/loop), and the flow out to the VICI
