peak-to-valley ratio

Hi all!
I have a question related to the chapter 2.2.46 of european parmacopoeia: when it talks about resolution it suggests, when the peaks are not baseline separated, to check the sys. suit. by calculating this ratio. But they don't say anything about acceptance criteria!
When you use the resolution in order to verify your system, it must be greater than 1.5, and what about peak to valley ratio?? Any ideas??
