Posting scans and images

One of the perennial questions we get is "can we attach images to posts" (especially with respect to chromatograms, etc.).
The answer is "Well, sort of!".
It is possible to display images in posts. The catch is that those images have to be posted somewhere that is web-accessible. The way this works is by highlighting the URL (web address) of the image and then clicking on the "Img" button that you see above the text entry box. Here's an example; a thumbnail photo of me from the SepSci website:

It is not possible to attach graphics files directly to posts, nor is it possible to store them on the Chromatography Forum web site.
