My Chemstation will not store DAD signal data!?

Hopefully I can describe this problem so that all replies will be useful for me: Started up the instrument--equilibrated with MP and DAD lamp warmup for 1 hour, then initiated injections. To our suprise, there was a continuously counting x-axis in minutes that ran on for 123 minutes--instead of the usual 10 min run for the method. WE also noticed that the red vertical line that is dropped down at the instant an injection is made did not appear on the monitor scrren. Instrument Actuals was displaying an online DAD signal that ran continuously with each subsequent inject--for example at the first inject--my peak showed up at 3 mins mark (where it was supposed to show up) but on second inject (std #2), the peak showed up at 14 mins mark, then on third inject (std #3) peak shows up at 26 mins mark. There is no stored data when we try to call up the chromtograms for integrating! Is this a Firmware problem or something much simpler like a box not checked off. The system was working fine on Friday night--but today sheesh!?&#$^#% !

When you load the data file, click on "signal details". If you don't see anything there, you may have to enable the signal in your method.

Sometimes on one of my systems for the first injection the run time can go on and on. I make sure to start the sequence early enough to monitor that, and do the remaining samples by Partial Sequence into that directory, and it doesn't re-happen.

Did the GUI turn Blue when you "initiated the injection" ? if you are on stanby everything is green, the DAD will show you what it sees but no data is stored...so make sure the injection was actually made by looking at the GUI. Also on the DAD set up screen make sure you checked the box to store the data.
Chirio...
