Hello,

We have a Finnigan 9001 GC with FID.
The oven heater of the GC was disabled last week.
According to offical distributor's and the offical service's this heater is not available anymore in the catalog of the Thermo (Finnigan). This GC is too old :(
The old catalog No. was 117158-0002 (oven heater, 220V!).
Do you know the fungibiliti (equivalence) of this oven heater?
Can you help me? Can you give me a tip?

We probably made, but it does not work :(

Thank you : Tamas Marosvolgyi
I'm working in the chrom. lab in the Paediatric Dept. of the University of Pecs, Pecs, Hungary, Europe.

Not many Finnigan /Tremetrics GCs around. Have you actually asked your local agent ? Parts are often removed from the catalogue but the agents still have the parts to support old systems. Try a wanted ad on www.labx.com, they wre made in the States and some suppliers over there may still have the parts.
Good luck

Not sure if this will help, but had a similar problem in the past. i found a well-preserved Finnigan 9001 GC on EBay, comlete with all software, hardware, almost new. it is probably still there, if you serach Ebay and enter "Finnigan 9001 GC". I believe it was about $5K.
:P
