Hi,

We have an Agilent LC/MS in the lab, connected to a LC/MS Chemstation Rev. B02.01 - SR2 (260). Recently we come across an error "HED Fault. (0301)" in module G6130A. To get rid of this error, we need to restart the chemstation computer. The error occurs at radom, sometimes even after 30 min after reboot. We do no know what is causing this, nor do the Agilent service engeneers.
Has anyone experienced this problem and can give us some clues how to solve this problem.
Your comments are much appreciated.

I believe this is the High Energy Discharge fault and I think we used to have this because the detector cell inside was contaminated and was caused some stray voltages near the detector. It started to occur after we had a couple of power failures and the oil from the rough pumps made it up into the detector region.

We dissasembled the detector and rinsed everything and I believe this cured it.
