electronic spikes in lc/ms

I noticed that electronic spikes have been appearing in LC/MS (Agilent)analysis lately. Most of the times happens when I use electrospray.
Does someone know anything about it?

Electronic spikes are typical when using high electrospray voltages and/or high ionic solutions (i.e. due to arking). In negative ion mode, the problem is even worse...
