In API 4000,curtain gas is used. Can anybody say it is flowing between curtain plate and orifice, still how it allows ions to go inside?

Yes the curtain gas comes from between curtain plate and orifice. Ions are moved into the mass spec by electrical attraction while neutral stuff (solvent and other junk) gets blown away with the curtain gas.
