fluctuation in column back pressure

my hplc instrument gives a lot of fluctuation in back pressure, it sometimes increases to high pressure. what could be reason behind this and what is the solution for it?

More details please.
If you're running a gradient, this is quite normal. For isocratic runs, this signals a problem with the column or pumping system...(or the plumbing between them).

I think there is problem with the pump... please inspect the check valves.
