I've been having problem with one of the HPLC pumps (usually the one that uses water), where it keep producing bubbles in the tubes as it suck up water. I've sonicated the water bottle, as well as the pump inlet to get rid of bubbles but it didn't help. It was so serious till the bubbles present affected my results as it forms huge bubble peaks.

I wonder is there any other way to resolve the problem? Thank you all for the help.

Dear Yee Voon
I've sonicated the water bottle, as well as the pump inlet to get rid of bubbles but it didn't help.
Do you mean that you already sonicated the reservoir inlet filter?
If not, try to sonicate the filter in methanol for 15 minutes. I think that the cause for your problem is that your inlet filter is clugged.
It was so serious till the bubbles present affected my results as it forms huge bubble peaks.
Do you use degasser or what kind of degassering procedure you're using? It should prevent entering the solvent bubbles into the system.

Best wishes
