Does anybody know what´s the limit of this kind of detector? how many AU?

Could you please be a bit more specific with what you're asking? I'm not sure whether you need information on noise level specifications or linearity or something else. Linearity and noise are dependent upon a number of things including method conditions, detector settings, condition of the flow cell, lamp, optics, etc...

The 996 is a good machine, btw, and you should still be able to download the user manual from Waters' website for free. That should give you a start.

This detector can measure absorbances up to 3AU and more. But for linear response is better to keep the signal under 3AU.

Regards
