Hi,

I'm in charge of an historical study on chromatography,
does someone know where can I get some apparatus pictures ??

I need illustrations (photographs) of early apparatus (Tswett, lederer, zechmeister...), but I need also illustrations of all the most important steps of chromatography development.

Can somone help me, pleeeease !

regards,
Gw

gweg,

I would ping Leslie Ettre at LCGC magazine. If anyone can assist you, it should be him. He has been around the business forever (since the late 50's by the stuff I have seen) and pretty much knows who all the principle players are/were.

Best regards.

Gweg,

AICMM's suggestion is the best start. Amongst Leslie's LCGC articles and many books is "Milestones in the Evolution of Chromatography" 2002.

Also, less easy to get hold of, are

" Michael Tswett - Life and Work" by Prof. Karlo Ivanovich Sakodynskii.
" About chromatography seriously and with a smile" also by Prof. Karlo Ivanovich Sakodynskii.

Also, a 2006 Golden Jubilee journal publication of The Chromatographic Society (UK)

Regards,

Ralph
