Dear All,

I am new to LC-MS. I know in the NMR area there are a lot of off-spec
trometer software for data processing and analysis, and best of all they
are all free. Is there such software in the LC-MS for off-line data proce
ssing (deconvolution, to convert the mass spectra from m/z to the real m
olecular weight) and data analysis ( to help to identify the protein/pept
ide fragment assignment in the sample analyzed)? Can anyone give some sug
gestions?

Thank you very much!

Wen

mMass is an open source program that can be used for mass spec interpretation. It is geared mostly toward proteomics. You can get it here:

We have released several relevant software at: http://ncrr.pnl.gov/software/

In your case the tools Decon2LS, ICR-2LS and VIPER would be helpful with what you want to do...
