We have (finally) gotten the CombiPAl to run in EMpower 2. We could not get it to work in EMpower.
1) Follow the LEAP instructions for installation order of the Empower and CombiPAL software
2) Once the CombiPAL and Empower software are installed, install the Equinox card driver update to 5.4 or 5.4 provided by Waters.
They have some special instruction for this you should call Waters support for.
3) Even after all this, the COM ports still were not correct.
In device manger, select COM port 1 properties and change it to COM 3 and save. Repeat for ports 4-10. Change it back to COM port 1.
4) Open the Equinox card properties and change the first port to COM 3. Previosly this was in use. It should be free.
If you more detailed help, shoot me an email and i can send screen shots.

Did you get the server/client working for method editor ?
Did you encounter ploblems was aborting a sequence ? ( With v1 the connection crashed ?)
How about the data storage ? did you get it stored on server.
Or are you working only on the empower client ?
Overall impression? What would you like see changed? Comments on overall working of Combipal ?

Q:Did you get the server/client working for method editor ?
A: Not yet, only on the client, it worked in Empower 1154, i have not installed it on the server yet.
Q:Did you encounter ploblems was aborting a sequence ? ( With v1 the connection crashed ?)
A: That was our continual problem in 1154 and initiall in 2154.
Q: How about the data storage ? did you get it stored on server.
A: Data stores to server. Just make sure the client has the correct database connection
Q: Or are you working only on the empower client ?
A: For now
Q: Overall impression? What would you like see changed? Comments on
overall working of Combipal ?
A: As far as the software goes. installation is a pain in the <body part>. I am the software support person (with a lab background), so i don't run it. It looks to be a nice piece of equipment.
I am still waiting for final confirmation from the lead chemist on this that all is running fine when chaining multiple sample sets together.
