I am getting an old api-iii+ (circa '93) controlled by software on a macintosh. Does anyone know of upgrades to newer computer operating systems for this mass spec?

I have used the API-III with the Macintosh software. The next upgrade was the Analyst software in PC platforms and you should be able to get it through Applied Biosystems (probably for a fee)...

I certainly hope so. I've contacted them to see about the move to our university. Perhaps they will pitch me an upgrade.
