Dear all,
I am a newcomer.
I meet the problem about the 1100 auto sampler when initializing,
at first the system show yellow bar, saying initializing, motor too high temperature. and then red bar, saying motor 3 temperature. So the initialization failed.
Does any one tell what is the problem?hardware is wrong or else reasons?
thank you.

This is probably because one of the motors that drive the vial pick up arm and gripper cannot turn becuase the arm or the gripper is stuck. If you are confident with doing your own repairs you can dismantle and clean the moving parts. Otherwise you probably need a service call.

I have had the same problem once a few years back... It turned out that the sampler arm moves just a little outside the area of the samling area, and we had squeezed a couple of Agilent Stacks together... This caused the autosampler arm to come in contact with the side of the other stack and coming up with an error like yours..

So... If you have anything really close on the left side try moving it an inch or two futher away.

Other then that... maybe cleaning or exchanging a motor in the arm.. It's quite easy to do your self if you know how.. :)

Thanks to both. I had open the gripper and found that the belt of motor was stuck really. But the motor still can not run even I reset the belt, so I think the true reason is the motor. I called the service already.
thanks
